SONICblue is well known for their Rio MP3 players, but they've been quietly creeping into the home theater world. The Go-Video DHT7100 is a very impressive system, with a compact main unit that contains the processing, amplification, and source material for the system. It can play DVD-Video, CD, or MP3 CD files and it also has a built-in tuner. The processor can decode Dolby Digital and Pro Logic, and there's an optical digital output for external DTS decoding--it cannot process DTS. The DHT7100 comes with five matched satellite speakers and a solid subwoofer--the system has a total of 270 watts of power. The sound is very impressive for a system in this price range. A parental rating control on the DVD player lets parents choose what types of movies are watched with the ease of entering a password.
