Amazon.com Product Description The AVR130, Harman Kardon's most affordable A/V receiver, gives you theater-quality sound at a budget-minded price, offering six-channel analog inputs along with coaxial and optical digital inputs. Onboard Dolby Digital and DTS decoding using Cirrus chip technology allows you to take full advantage of digital soundtracks from the latest DVD releases and digital television broadcasts, while Dolby Pro Logic II and other technologies help you get the most out of your analog audio. For the cleanest sound quality from your digital sources, the receiver features 192 kHz/24-bit digital-to-analog converters. To maximize use of your listening environment, Harman Kardon's VMAx technology uses proprietary processing to create an open, spacious sound field even when only two front speakers are available, while the proprietary Logic 7 technology allows you to create a wider, more enveloping field environment and more defined fly-overs and pans. A stereo-digital mode allows for programmable bass management of low frequencies between main speakers and subwoofer, and a stereo-direct mode for two-channel sources bypasses DSP (digital signal processor) processing to preserve the integrity of your analog materials. The AVR130 allows you not only to pass digital signals through to compatible devices for recording, but also to convert analog signals to a PCM digital signal for recording to a digital device such as a MiniDisc or CD recorder. It features six digital inputs, two digital outputs and a host of analog inputs and outputs, including front-panel digital inputs for easy connection to portable digital devices and video game consoles. In all, it gives you two coaxial digital inputs, two optical digital inputs, coaxial and optical digital outputs, five A/V audio inputs, tape inputs, CD audio inputs, and 6-channel direct inputs for use with DVD-audio or SACD (Super Audio CD) players and any other products with internal surround decoders. All input, output, and speaker terminals are color-coded and comply with CEA standards for easy installation. The AVR 130's digitally tuned AM/FM receiver includes both AM and FM antennas and gives you 30 presets for storing your favorite stations. What's in the Box Receiver, manual, remote control with batteries, AM loop antenna, indoor FM antenna, 300-ohm-to-75-ohm adapter, warranty information.
