Powerful Receiver February 26, 2010 G. Duncanson Buying through Amazon is easy and efficient. Thanks for good customer service and delivery ahead of schedule. This receiver is powerful and works great with my Yamaha YSTSW012 8" Front-Firing Active Subwoofer. I purchased it to replace a burned out sub-woofer from my Logitech Z-5500 that also has the amp built in. The remaining surround sound speakers from my Logitech were connected to this receiver to complete the system and the sound is fantastic. The sound quality is awesome and the bass fills my 15X20 room. This is not an easy receiver to figure out. It takes a while to read the manual and tap into all of its features. But, if you want something inexpensive with superb sound quality for your music and movies, I highly recommend this receiver.
Simply good one February 10, 2010 Ratnakar Pedagani First initially i was worried that i'm spending so much money on this and it is always a pain to return and do all sorts of shipping business, but first when i plugged this receiver to my tv, and home theater system, we are enjoying the sound effects and enjoying the movie. However I wouldn't spend more than 200 bucks for this.
Very good receiver for the price January 21, 2010 Shawn McCrimmon (Illinois, USA) I have this received hooked up to my Klipsch Synergy III surround sound speakers. However, I do not currently own a sub and cannot review how this receiver works with one. My inputs are the surround sound ouput from my computer, and my Cowon S9
Pros:
This receiver was inexpensive.
The speaker were easy to hook up.
The inputs are labeled nicely and it is easy to guess what they do.
It sounds very good for the price.
5.1 channel Music Enhanced works well.
Cons:
It's only 5.1 channels. (if you never want to go 7.1, then this is not a problem)
The eqs don't work in multi channel input mode.
You have to use the remote to change certain settings (like initial setup)
No HDMI audio (this would have been so much easier)
The top get pretty warm. (This is probably true of many recievers.
In my opinion, the pros outweigh the cons. Movies sound fantastic, however, music seems to be lacking the low end (but this is because my speaks only go down to 120hz). The enhancer works well, and it is easy to set up.
It is great. December 21, 2009 Wei Chu (san antonio, us) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful

Yamaha Does it Again November 1, 2009 Designtist (Central Wisconsin) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I recently purchased a Yamaha True Sound receiver for my shop system and have been very happy with that unit. When our Sony home theatre developed a center channel problem, Yamaha was very high on the search list and the Yamaha RX-V363BL more than lived up to my expectations. This unit's sound quality blows the Sony right out of the water straight out of the box without any fine tuning. We are still using the Sony surround speakers and powered sub for sound and the difference in sound quality and surround decoding is amazing. The Scene presets work very well and make it easy to find the best sound field for the type of audio you are listening to. Watching DVD's has never sounded so good in our home and listening to music is great too. Even more improved is the decoding of audio signals when watching TV programs through a satellite dish; no more fuzzy sounding background noises and poorly implemented surround noise, only the right sounds in the right amount to make it all work in a very natural and believable way.
I can't stress enough how much of an improvement the Yamaha is over the Sony, I am loving the improvement and look forward to upgrading the speakers in the future.
