2 out of 5 stars Sound quality is abysmal with charger attached   June 2, 2010
B. Robichaud (Portland, OR)
I bought this to allow me to listen to music from my Motorola Droid on my car stereo system without having to be tethered via the headphone jack. While it does work the audio quality is absolutely unbearable when you have the charger attached.

My Droid paired and connects with the WBT210 quite reliably but I was unable to get decent sound out of it whenever I had the charger attached. The battery was fully charged and I had the USB charger hooked up to the 12v jack in my car full time during my tests. I could move the audio jack from the WBT210 to my Droid and the sound difference was like night and day. With the WBT210 I would a buzzy clicky noise in the background. If I disconnected the charger the sound was reasonable. For me this is a dead end because I do not want to worry about manually charging it, I want it to just always be there and working. Having to plug in the charger periodically defeats the convenience factor.

Conclusion: The WBT210 is just not made for quality music audio while charging. It works ok while running on battery power.

5 out of 5 stars Great device   April 29, 2010

I bought this to use wirh my ipod touch 3g, in order to stream music to my truck stereo and it works great. I can put my touch in the center console without any drop off or loss of sound quality. I have not had it long enough to comment on battery life nor phone use. If you are looking for an inexpensive bluetooth receiver, I highly recommend the Jensen wbt 210.

1 out of 5 stars bluetooth stereo gateway, but not this one.   March 5, 2010
Dawn Jensen (Atlanta, GA USA)
Very hit and miss product...

I'm much happier with the Blackberry stereo gateway that I recently purchased to replace this one. It's a great interface between my Blackberry full of MP3 songs and my car stereo with an aux input jack. And you don't have to own a Blackberry to use it... as long as you have Bluetooth and A2DP, it'll work fine.

4 out of 5 stars Pretty good, overall.   January 11, 2010

I'm using the Jensen WBT210 in conjuction with a Motorola DC800 Bluetooth transmitter (Bluetooth Stereo Gateway DC800 Bluetooth Adapter for Home Stereo) to listen to TV and DVD wirelessly via headphones. Pairing is very easy and sound quality is quite good. With some bluetooth headphones, there is a noticeable delay in the audio, but not with the Jensen receiver. Battery life is OK - 4 to 5 hours of continuous use. The main issue I have is the Jensen receiver does not remember that it is paired with the Motorola transmitter, so it has to be re-paired every time I use it. Not a big problem, just an annoyance.

2 out of 5 stars Does not work reliably with my phone/GPS   July 15, 2009

I bought this so I could listen to my Nokia 6555 on my car stereo AUX input via bluetooth. It paired ok, but this little jewel would cause my phone to crash and reboot whenever I started playing music. At most I could play 3-4 minutes before my phone would reboot. So, it got stuck in the glove compartment.

Fast forward 12 months. Just purchased a TomTom GO730 which supports BT audio out for both the directions and music/audiobooks. Sweet! I already have a BT receiver I can use!

It was not to be. It paired fine with the TomTom, but I could not get through an entire song before it would disconnect from the TomTom. I would have to power it off and back on again to get it to reconnect, only to have it disconnect again.

Definintely was not reado for prime time. Would NOT buy at the listed retail. I paid $15 for mine and in my opinion that was still too much.
